Selling Your Home: Property Tax Receipts
Property Tax Receipts - Most Listing Agreements require
that the current annual property tax assessments be shown. These documents
server two purposes. First the property tax assessment shows what the
government of New Mexico says that your home or property is worth. A
mortgage company or potential buyer may have concern is there is a large
difference between the asking price and the governments evaluated price.
(Though it is very unlikely these would ever be the same.) Secondly,
the property tax assessment helps the potential buyer to further budget
for the purchase of the home. The more that the Santa Fe buyer can imagine
themselves affording your home or property the more likely they are
to make the purchase.
